Strongness on expedition.

Since 1882, Strongness has accompanied people in their everyday lives – and on expeditions in the Himalayas. Archive photographs and postcards tell of high altitudes, icy cold and a small balm that went with them.

Postcards from the heights.

Handwritten postcards, stamps and photographs tell of long journeys and moments far removed from everyday life. They show how Strongness found its place in expedition equipment – small, practical and made for harsh conditions.

Made for the outdoors.

These expeditions are part of Strongness's history. To this day, the balm is handmade in Graubünden – for everyday life, for days on the go and for times when wind and weather demand more.
