At Strongness, we use only the finest natural ingredients to care for and protect your lips. Each ingredient is carefully processed by hand, resulting in a unique formula that hydrates your lips and gives them a healthy, natural appearance.
We are proud that our lip balm is made in the Swiss mountains. The unspoiled nature and clear alpine air give our products a special sense of purity and freshness. Every lip balm is handcrafted with dedication and care to ensure the quality and effectiveness our customers deserve.
At Strongness, it’s not just about care — it’s also about tradition. The original recipe created by Joseph Anton Lohr has been passed down through generations and continues to form the foundation of our products.

Beeswax is one of the original raw materials of natural cosmetics. It is produced when honeybees build their honeycombs. Beeswax gives the lip balm its firm, creamy consistency. It forms a thin, breathable layer on the skin, helping to retain moisture for longer. Beeswax is stable, natural, and has been an ingredient in simple care products for centuries – and for good reason.

In cosmetics, chamomile is valued primarily for its skin-friendly, gentle properties. The extract contains natural flavonoids and essential oils, which are traditionally associated with soothing care.

The typical, spicy scent of sage is barely perceptible in the final formula, but contributes to the product's overall natural character.

Witch hazel, also known as hamamelis, is a plant that, like black tea, contains tannins. For lip care, this means that witch hazel helps to soothe the skin's surface. The result is a pleasant, clean feeling, especially if the lips were previously dry or chapped. Witch hazel is a classic ingredient in natural cosmetics and is valued for its uncomplicated and reliable effects.

Walnut oil is rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and unsaturated fatty acids, especially linoleic acid. These fatty acids are among the standard components of many plant oils used in cosmetics. They can help soothe irritated or chapped lips, while the oil simultaneously moisturizes and forms a protective barrier to shield lips from drying out and environmental damage.

Lanolin is a naturally derived fat extracted from sheep's wool. It has a skin-like structure and has been used in skincare for a very long time. Many traditional ointments are based on lanolin because it binds water well and leaves a pronounced softening sensation. In lip balm, lanolin ensures smoothness and allows the balm to blend well with the skin's natural lipid layer. As a result, the balm feels neither greasy nor sticky, but pleasantly rich and stable.

We use an organic UV filter from the Eusolex range. These filters are frequently used in high-quality skincare products and are designed to absorb a portion of UV radiation. The filter used is colorless and odorless and integrates well into the oil-based structure of the lip balm without altering its texture or application.

Propylene glycol is a clear, colorless substance used as a humectant in many skincare products. It helps bind water in the formulation and prevents the product from drying out. At the same time, it ensures a smooth texture and improves the balm's spreadability. Propylene glycol is well-researched and has been used in cosmetics for decades.

The vanilla aroma in our lip balm comes from natural sources and is used solely for fragrance. It gives the product a pleasant, warm vanilla note that blends harmoniously with the other ingredients. Although the aroma has no moisturizing function, it noticeably contributes to the balm's characteristic scent and ensures a well-rounded, natural fragrance profile.
